Any Bible student knows that
poetry plays a major role in the Sciptures. As one contemplates the wonders
of God's glory and love, sometimes the best way to express one's awe and appreciation
is in the form of a poem. It has been said that at his core every man is a poet.
I can only imagine that the one who first expressed this thought must have had
the majesty of the Almighty in mind.
I
will praise you, O LORD,
with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonders. Psalms 9:1 |

I make no boast about what
you will read here. Every thought in these poems has been expressed innumerable
times before. The only thing original here is the arrangement of the words.
Poems also tend to make very good bulletin material. Feel free to anything that
you feel would be useful. We ask only that you be honest in attributing the
poem's to their author. All of these poem's have been written by Adam Litmer,
the evangelist at Evendale, unless otherwise noted.
